Hey this is my very first blog post on my new website and I thought I'd start by sharing a short film I worked on some years ago. Just a word of warning, this short film is graphic and may disturb some viewers. Video at the bottom of this post. (Headphones are advised, but be warned, did I say disturbing?)

Okay, now that the disclaimer is out of the way, while I continue to scout for new work opportunities, I thought I'd share this short film I worked on called 'Resistance'. Written and directed by Emmy Award winning director, Kyle Portbury.

We had a super short timeline to develop and produce this in the space of around 3 months, from Concept Art to Final. I was responsible for all the Character Designs and the limited frame by frame animation throughout. I remember not having the luxury of even 'constructing' or 'sketching' the rough forms of the characters out before committing to the final black line, I literally just went straight in with the black ink, and drew frame by frame, so sometimes the characters may be inconsistent, especially the main character Johan, but hopefully its consistent enough to know who is who...

The shading was done by Tyler Solomon, backgrounds by Valentina Phillips and compositing by Charl Collocott.
